Is there an entry fee?:
Yes. Our entry fee is $450.00 (USD). All contestants
will also be required to sell a minimum of (2) full page ad's for our pageant souvenir program book and a minimum of
15 tickets to the final night of competition.
What does my entry fee cover?:
Kupono U'i produces high quality events which
requires us to charge a small entry fee. The entry fee in it's entirety goes to cover production costs to ensure a memorable
experience for our contestants. Upon receipt of entry fee contestant will receive:
*Official preliminary Sash- embroidered with "Miss
or Miss Teen (title of your choice) Polynesia International 2011"
*Official Polynesia International preliminary
Crown
*Hotel Accommodations during pageant week
*Ground Transportation during pageant week
*Most Meals during pageant week
and much, much more!
Do you have to be from a Polynesian island to
qualify?:
Residential Requirements require contestants
to either be physically living on a Polynesian Island for a minimum of 6 months or of Polynesian ancestry.
What are the age requirements?:
Teen Division: Age 13 to 18 (8th grade and higher)
as of
July 1, 2013
Miss Division: Age 19 to 29 as of July 1, 2013
Other requirements for TEEN/MISS Contestants:
*Must be a naturally born female
*Must be of good moral character
*Some knowledge of Polynesian Culture
*Single, never married
*Never given birth to a child
Private Judges Interview- 35%
Lifestyle & Fitness in Aerobic Wear- 15%
Talent- 30% (a Polynesian Cultural Performance is
preferred but not required)
Evening Wear- 20%
